This explains what data Metric Nudge handles and why. Metric Nudge is run by Jake Dale-Rourke, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. There are two kinds of people in it: you, who sign up, and your app's users, whose activity your apps send to Metric Nudge.

Your account

We keep your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), when you accepted the terms, when you last signed in, your plan and your billing identifiers. We use them to run your account, to email you sign-in links, confirmations and the emails you ask for, and to bill you. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

You can also add things we store for you: your apps and their keys, alert channel addresses (such as a Discord webhook), and, if you choose, an Anthropic API key and App Store Connect key. Keys are stored in our database and used only to do what you asked.

Your app users' data

For data your apps send about their users, you are the controller and we are your processor. We process it only to provide Metric Nudge to you. The SDK sends: events you choose, a random device identifier, an optional user identifier you pass (such as a RevenueCat id), app version, operating system version, device model, language and time zone, and country and city derived from the request. It does not send names or email addresses unless you put them in your own event properties, which we recommend you don't. Purchase events from RevenueCat include product, price and an app user id.

Because this data is about your users, your own privacy policy should mention that you use an analytics provider. If you need a data processing agreement, contact us.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1 and KV). Raw events are kept for the history your plan includes, up to the limits in your account, and then deleted; daily summaries may be kept longer in compressed form. Backups are kept on a rolling basis (the latest eight weekly backups). When you delete your account (Settings → Plan), your apps, events, keywords, keys and settings are removed.

Cookies

We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. It is needed for the service to work, so it doesn't require consent. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, and you can delete your account and its data yourself in Settings → Plan. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to object to or restrict some processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local authority. If you are one of your app's users and want your data removed, please contact the developer of that app; we can help them do it.

Security

Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, sign-in attempts are rate limited, and each account's data is kept separate. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you promptly.
