Terms of service

Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Jake Dale-Rourke, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "Metric Nudge"), for your use of Metric Nudge, including its Analytics, Keywords and Plan features (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Give us a real email address and keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must confirm your email address to receive email from us.

2. What the Service does

Metric Nudge collects the events your own apps send, reads data from services you connect (such as RevenueCat and, with your key, App Store Connect), tracks public App Store search results and charts, and produces statistics, rankings and suggestions. Suggestions, including AI-written summaries, are advice to help you decide; they may be wrong or out of date, and you are responsible for your decisions.

3. Your data and your users

You own the data you send to Metric Nudge. You give us permission to store and process it to run the Service for you. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any notices or consents needed to collect your app users' data and send it to us, including describing Metric Nudge in your own privacy policy. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data, and that for your end users' data we act as your processor.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, to send us other people's personal information you have no right to hold, to probe or disrupt the Service or other customers, to reverse-engineer it, to resell it without our agreement, or to exceed your plan's limits by working around them. We may limit or suspend an account that does.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Indie, Pro and Studio) are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars, through Stripe. Taxes such as VAT may be added where required. Plans include limits on apps, events, tracked keywords, history and features, shown on the pricing page and in Settings. If you exceed your event limit, new events may be refused above 150% of it.

You can cancel at any time under Settings → Plan → manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, after which your account moves to the Free plan; if you are above the Free limits, some features and data access may be restricted. We don't refund part-used periods unless the law requires it, but if something went wrong, contact us and we'll try to put it right. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on others, including Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments), Brevo (email), Apple (public App Store data, and App Store Connect when you connect it), RevenueCat (when you connect it) and Anthropic (AI features when you add your own key). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and you must follow the terms of any third-party account you connect.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running but provide it "as is", without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Rankings and volume or difficulty scores are estimates built from public data. We may change or remove features; if we make a change that significantly reduces what your plan includes, we'll tell you.

8. Ending things

You can delete your account and all its data yourself under Settings → Plan. We can suspend or end your account if you break these terms or put the Service at risk, and we'll tell you why where we can. When an account is deleted, its data is removed from our systems, apart from backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis, and records we must keep by law (such as payment records).

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £100 if you are on the Free plan).

10. Changes to these terms, and law

We may update these terms and will say so on this page, and by email for material changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to use your local courts.
